Usage of since before #1 (permalink) Fri May 15, 2009 4:53 am   Usage of since before

Hi,

how do I understand since before? eg.two people that do not know each other since before. My question is that do they ever know each other and just have seperated for a while or never know before?

Thank you. :)

Hi Liquicaho,

I think you've actually got it turned around. 'Since before' means from a given time before another time, until the present.

Ex.
"I've known Joe since before we were in grade school." - This means that even before we started grade school together, Joe and I were already acquainted.
