There's a saying in my language which describes the situation of a guy who always goes after the best girls, but he himself is not decent enough for them. Do you have a collocation for this?

Yes, here we say 'being out someones league', which has the same meaning.

If I was a fishmonger and you a professor at university you'd be far out of my league.
