migrate means to move to another place, often a different country, in order to find work and a better life.

immigrate means to come to live in a different country

emigrate to leave your own country to go and live in another one

Emigrate is when you go to another country to live.

You become an Immigrant upon entering your new country.

Migrate is a term usually directed at the actions of birds, when in the colder weather, they migrate to warmer climates.
