Idioms test #1 (permalink) Sat May 23, 2009 12:51 pm   Idioms test

Hey guys,

Take a look at what I stumbled upon:

http://www.world-english.org/englishidiomstest.htm

It's a test with 50 questions that inspect your knowledge of idioms. When I first took it, I scored a humble 64 % and most of my answers were wild guesses.

It would also be nice to hear some native speakers' opinions as to whether the set phrases in the quiz are in circulation.

Regards.

FOS, too easy for Englanders. Maybe more difficult for others. Most in everyday use.

Kitos.

I scored 94% first time round, but I have to admit that about 1/3 of them I had never heard before and therefore had to play a guessing-game.
