Hello Jafar...
It is great to hear your voice message! This is Tom Kane writing from the United States. I just wanted to take a minute to compliment you on your recording - it sounds great!
It appears to me that you have been speaking English for quite some time now. Your voice and words are clear and very easy to understand. If you can, send another message so everyone can hear you.
Keep up the good work, Jafar! I look forward to hearing from you.
Take care,
Tom |

Hi Jafar Zali,
Thank you very much for your positive feedback regarding our email English course. I see that you registered on our forum back in December 2008 when you posted your first text message and I'm glad you made the decision to practice your speaking skills on the forum too. That's really exciting! Your voice is easy to understand and pleasant to listen to. Where did you learn to speak like this? And how have you managed to aquire such good speaking skills? It would be great if you could share a secret.
Speak to you soon. Regards, Torsten

Hello again to everybody especially my learning coach, Dear Torsten. This is Jafar talking. As the second voice message, I would like to appreciate your kind attention to the first one. Dear Torsten, it was very nice to hear from you. Your message really made me happy. I am not that much good in speaking really. I have been learning English for some years but I have made a lot of gaps between my learning courses so I haven’t been able to make my English knowledge complete, mostly in listening and pronunciation. I have attended some conversational classes but the teachers say that “you should concentrate on intonation much more”. It shows that I should practice speaking more and more. Another weakness is listening. It sounds very difficult to me to understand the English programs on TV especially movies. I should increase my word powers too. The writing is not basically correct either, and the grammar as well as the other skills. Anyway I am here to make myself better in these skills and I need your help and of course some time. Because my job takes me too much time. It was nice to hear from Gray, Kitosdad and Tom kane too. I wish you all the best. Bye |

Jafar, I just wanted to say, in brief, that I know many English speakers who could not hold a candle to you for clarity and pronunciation. You're a gent!

Hello Dears, Sorry for being absent for some weeks. Believe me, I don’t want to be away from my friends in english-test.net but it is not really that much possible for me to be here regularly. Anyway I promise to do my best to be more and more active. I have some friends that they are going to learn English and they want me to be their guide in conversational classes in which we would just try to speak about different topics. I think it is a useful method but I think it is not complete. I want you to help me in this case. Can I help them or not? They are very busy with their jobs and they cannot attend institute classes. What is the best way to increase our ability to speak English? I myself think we should at first listen and then repeat, like a baby. Besides, there should be a suitable atmosphere which has the most effect and forces the learners to use sentences in English. I think we should learn the grammatical points in this method too. Am I right or wrong? You are kindly requested to help me and my friends. Thank you very much. |

Hi Jafar, I completely agree with you -- if you want to learn English it's vital to surround yourself with spoken English on a daily basis. Listen, analyze and repeat. Use your subconscious mind to let the English language filter through your brain.

Hello Jafar,
It's so good to hear your voice again. This is Tom Kane writing from the United States.
I do agree with you that by listening to the written word, and then repeating what you have already heard, it will greatly increase your ability to speak English.
To answer your question about your friends - yes...I think you can help your friends a great deal. You write and speak English very well. If you can encourage them to log on to English-test.net, or you can practice English with them by listening to various topics, everyone will benefit. I will be speaking to Torsten about different ideas to assist you with listening exercises.
I look forward to hearing from you again. I hope you are well, Jafar!
Take care,
Tom |

Hello Torsten, I read your message more than 10 times. It is concise. Thank you very much. I need your help more. I understood from your message that 1.We should be surrounded by spoken English everyday which contains listening skill too. Just writing and reading English does not help a lot. But the question is what topics should be spoken about? My friends are in different levels. What is the best step by step speaking plan? Do you suggest any book? 2.Analyzing the words before repeating that you pointed out is an important key. Thank you again. I didn’t think about it. I want to know that, when I hear the sentence “I have been learning English for some time”, how should I analyze it? 3.How to use subconscious mind is another question. Is it possible by repeating the words? Please talk about it more. Many thanks for your guide. Hello Tom, Many thanks for your encouragement. I am not that much good at English. Any way I hope to be better and better at English learning. My friends have not attended any classes. Some of them need basic study of English. They cannot write in English at present but they like to speak a lot and I don’t want to be strict with them. I think after some time they will be the members of English-test.net? Am I right? Of course with your help and Torsten, I will be able to be better at English and I can help my friends. Thank you very much Tom. Jafar |
