78. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Boys and girls should attend separate schools. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Through the history people had different views on the issue on relationship between boys and girls and their school attendance. It seems that, in the past few centuries, the idea that boys and girls should attend school classes together won the hearts of parents and education policymakers. In this train of thought I would say that I support the idea that boys and girls should not attend separate schools, because of nice school memories we carry through our lives and because it is good for child development.

First of all, I believe that we all have some nice memories from our schooldays. We remember our teachers, good grades and achievements, first picnic we had with our friends and, of course, our first loves. I am sure that, through our schooldays, we were all trying to attract attention of some cute girl or naughty boy. Whenever it was, in front of our professors showing knowledge just to catch a glimpse in her eyes or putting a frog in her juice at a picnic, it had been fun and we would never forget something like that. For example I remember how proud I was when I had scored winning goal in front of one beautiful girl. For me, memories like this are something what matters in life.

Moreover, having mixed classes is very important for child development, because kids have opportunity to learn about each other and understand each other. Understanding is something what is necessary through our life and we should work on it since the early age. In addition to that, socialization between girls and boys influence our confidence, behavior and sensitivity. For instance, understanding I have about girls from these days helped me later in my life to recognize how I should behave to my girlfriends.

In conclusion, I believe that the abovementioned reasons, like unique memories and personal development clearly outweigh some advantages of separate attendance. Needless, to say, in today’s world we have both systems in place and people should always follow their own heart and choose whatever they consider to be the right choice.
