Hi,
I've read your explanation about three types of question tags. I think it"s sarcastic response and I don"t understand why the correct answer is: So you won"t will you? in which we have positive and negative part. Thanks in advance.

You're right it is sarcastic and the question tag here needs negative and positive. The final will you completes the challenge.

The sarcastic response both are postive as in:
A I've worked really hard today
B You have, have you?

I've got the same doubt. Is this a particular case? an eception of the rule?

Hi,

That's a variation of the 'sarcastic' answer and because both tags are positive, it is more indicative of a challenge. When someone says:I am going to do exactly the opposite of what you want, the other person replies: Oh, you are, are you?, which suggests that they accept the challenge and goes on to give the idea that they are not going to accept it.

Oh, I think I got it. Then, if you use: Oh, you are, are you? it means that you ignore the challenge. If you respond: Oh, you aren't, are you? this means that you accept the challenge. Am I right?

Thanks for your response Mr Alan.
