REPORT: Nordhausen: Friday 12/09/2009
For Friday we began the day with a quick Introduction of your evenings from the day before. The students had to create a short story of their privies evening, using a set of vocabulary created the day before. This resulted in impressive results from the students.
After this we focused on Revision for the TOEIC test. I asked the students what specifically they felt were weak and strong points. The students asked if they could do more practice with the audio testing and we performed a set of tests from the english-test.net
The students finally read a article from the BBC news website. Translated the texts to German and then created vocabulary lists. Finally they created new sentences demonstrating the correct usage and tense of the words. |

Hi Torsten, Ian and our great Nordhausen group,
I just want to say to the group, I really hope you did as well as you expected in your tests. I wish you all the luck for the future, with life, work and learning English. I hope during my future visits to Nordhausen we can meet up and have a bit of a chin-wag maybe in the form of a stammtisch.
Also to Ian, I wish you a lot of success in your new job and hope we can still hook up some time in Leipzig.
Kindest regards

Hi Scott. Absolutely I will be in Leipzig Monday to Fridays for the next three months so I am sure we can meet up for a pint some time.
Best wishes. Ian |
