So many people make a brief appearance here and then just disappear. Why bother?

If it is your sincere intention to learn about the English language, then welcome. If it is your intention to find out how difficult it is, than let me tell you :-

IT IS DAMNED DIFFICULT. There is no easy way to do it. It is a hard slog, and slackers will soon fall behind. Please, don't waste your time and ours. Go and sit in an Internet Cafe and play pinball ... you are going nowhere!

Now, if you REALLY want to learn, then knuckle down and do the work. It won't be easy, and it will mean many hours of study and disappointment, but we WILL help you through it.

It takes guts and determination, and most of all, a will to succeed. Many have already done it and came through as winners, many have failed at the first attempt, but came back with renewed vigour and determination. Some have failed and just disappeared.
You'll probably see them in your local Supermarket stacking shelves.

So be warned. It isn't easy, and we CAN'T make it easy, but we CAN make it a damned sight easier than most sites can. Good luck.

Kitos.

Good evening
Most of what you said is true , but I don't think that disappearing is beacause of failing or giving up, may be they don't have a lot of time, they have jobs or even families. We don't have to juge them we should encourage them to continue what they started.
And allow me to say that if they give up they will loose and if some of us need more time let's give it to them (you won't loose any thing)at least they will attampt their gole at the end.

The ones who show up for a little while and disappear aren't the ones who bother me so much. As Sarah says, they may not have much time.

The ones who REALLY bother me are the ones who want us to improve their English while making no effort themselves to improve it. These are the people who write sloppily, with no attempt at capitalization and punctuation, and who ignore our requests that they try to write the best English they can. "u always gonna ricogneze this peeple bicoz they dont try corrict thimsilf."

I get similar people in my classes. Either they think their horrible English is good and think they don't belong in the class, or else they think that I can teach them one or two easy, miraculous tricks that will make their English good without their having to work at it.
