I grew up in a village called Ajegunle in southern part of Nigeria. It has a population of about 300people. Their major occupation is faming. The majority are semi literate. The village has one major river where people bath, wash and even drink from it. The reason why I love my village is that it is very peaceful and farm produce is cheap.

Great post Sherifatbidemi, your English sentence structure is really good. I wish more of our students were as good as you are.

I would think that you are highly regarded in your village. Well done.

Kitos.

ps. I think it's bathe, not bath. Very Happy

Hello Sherifatbidemi,

Thank you for describing your place of upbringing. You did it very well.

Please distinguish between 'produce' and 'production' and, as Kitosdad pointed out, 'bathe' and 'bath'.

The first ones are verbs and the second ones are nouns.

Some examples:

I bathe in the bath.

Farmers produce cheap production.

Best regards.

Sherifatbidemi, I guess I was wrong. Sorry. I now see in my dictionary that 'produce' could be a noun too! Sorry once more.

Ski, I think the difference is in the pronunciation. Two allied meanings though.

Kitos.
