Hi,

The following words appear abstract in nature. I have confusion whether they are common or abstract noun. Kindly help me to identify them properly.

1. day, night, afternoon, morning, hour, time – Common or Abstract Noun.

a) I still can remember my first day at school.
b) Owls can see at night.
c) I went for a walk in the morning.
d) He rushed to the spot within an hour.
e) What is the time by your watch?

2. game, cricket, match- Common or Abstract Noun.

a) Cricket is my favourite game.
b) I went to see the match with my father.

3. red, colour: Common or Abstract Noun.

a) Blue is my favourite colour.

4. news, joke, information : Common or Abstract Noun.

a) The news spread like a wild-fire.
b) We did not receive any information yet.

5. biology, subject, English, language, music: Common or Abstract Noun.

a) Biology is my favourite subject.
b) English is my second language.
c) The music was also directed by Satyajit Roy.

6. direction, east, west: Common or Abstract Noun.

a) In which direction the sun rises?
b) The sun rises in the east.

7. Season, Summer: Common or Abstract Noun.

a) Spring is my favourite season.
