Both of you live in warm countries, you're so lucky... For my part, I am a french student and I live in a little village nearby Toulon (south of France), but I study in Aix-en-Provence (20 km from Marseille). I am 21 and I study History. Sorry Luciano but you probably haven't understood my previous message, I will spend the entire next school year in Edimburgh in order to do researches on Mary Stuart. I'd like to become an historian professor. I hope I will pass the TOEFL successfully but it seems so tough! What score do you want to reach Labass?

as you said TOEFL seems very tough! I would like to get more than 213 points on computers-based tests! Melanie, I would like to know how you are preparing the test? Have a good day!

I've bought one book and I have borrowed two other books at the Library, I have passed three practice tests but the speaking section is very difficult to prepare, and it is the most frightening section for me! I hope I will pass this exam very well but our English courses at the University don't prepare to the TOEFL at all. So you have to prepare this exam by yourself, which is very complicated. I will pass the TOEFL-IBT the notation system isn't the same as the one of computers-based tests. I hope to get more than 85 points but it seems very difficult to reach that score. Furthermore, French students are known to be ill at ease with English speaking!!! And you how are you preparing this test? and where will you pass it?

I take some grammar exercises every day! But i do like chatting with native speakers when i'm free! Some times i read some articles in english and i translate them after into french! I have passed some practice test but i guess that's not enough for gaining a pass! I do think that the speaking section is difficult!
I hope we'll both pass it! In Bamako it'll take place in center calls "PRODESO"!

I've done some grammar tests too and I've read a lot of articles on Voice of America's website, I've listened several conversation in American-English... I wil pass the TOEFL on friday! I stress out but we'll see. I've watched some soaps in "VOST" which seems to be a good exercice to improve our oral comprehension!

I hope we'll both ace it too! For my part I'll take it in Marseille.
