Cars, a necessary transportation tool, is becoming more and more significant in our modern society. Taking a car is faster than taking a bus especially the time is limited. It does not stop as frequently as a bus, at the same time, it is much easier to make schedule. However, some people argues that cars cause a series of problems, such as air pollution, energy crisis. As far as I am concerned, cars have a greater effect on the society.

To begin with, the advantage of cars have influenced the development of society. According to the report released by China Daily,approximately 76 percent people prefer to own a car. The car has a fast speed which could improve the efficiency of life. Meanwhile, having a car feels more comfortable which means to change the quality of life. For example, a man would spend one hour on the way to work by car, nevertheless, it will take more than 2 hours if he choose to take a bus. Obviously, how many assignments could be finished during the one hour.

On the other hand, we can not ignore the problems are induced by driving a car,such as energy crisis, traffic problems, even the environmental pollutions. With the increasing numbers of cars, big cities have to face with a serious problem, traffic jam. No doubt, cars consume a large quantity of energy, gasoline and electricity, both of which cause the air and water pollution. If we continue wasting these energy,it can hardly imagine the life in twenty years later, decreasing animals extinction, food shortage,health worst than before. How could we live in such a society?

Last but not the least, governments should take some effective measures to control the number of cars with the intension of conserving energy and solving traffic problems. the government should ask people who drive cars pay fee in busy city streets when traffic is in a great amount. Secondly, raising the price of gasoline and electricity ensure to conserve the certain energy. In addition, providing free public transportation strategy. All of these policies are useful way to relieve the pressure of cars.

Although airplane runs at a higher speed and free of traffic problems, it could not compete with cars,as it is becoming an essential tool in our life. From we have discussed above ,we could draw a conclusion that cars have a greater effect on the modern society.

A car will certainly get you where you are going faster, and in doing so it will reduce the pressure on you and your work schedule. For example, a man would spend one hour on the way to work by car, whereas it will take more than 2 hours if he chooses to take a bus. Calculate,........... just how many assignments could be finished during that one hour!?
