This topic was posted one or two days ago,and when I logged in later I found there was a reply to it.But with a click on the topic title I entered a blank Page, with nothing on the page.I tried a few times and saw the same result,so I had to post the topic again:

In Gas Smart Meter Functional Specification,I read such a sentence:Provisions to ensure meter functionality configuration is subject to appropriate access control, i.e. only Authorised Parties can wind on credit, demand readings or update tariff data.

My question is,what is meant by ‘wind on credit’ ?

The phrase also shows up in another place in the Specification:To be used when communications has failed – e.g. customer enters code via keypad Interface. Could also be used by engineer to wind on ‘credit’
