Dear friends,
Good day,

I want to give a speech about swine influenza to a group of secondary school, their parents and teachers. Can someone suggest what is the best salutation that I should use (for the opening and closing)?

Thanks.

Hello,

You can start by talking about the different kinds of flu and add "the economy flu" for a laugh.

Hello dear friend,
Thanks for the reply,

Seriously I would like to know a proper salutation for the above audience that I mentioned. For example, may I start like this:

"Good morning students, dear teachers and parents. Today I stand here before you to talk about Steps to Prevent the Widespread of Swine Flu".

How about that?

Humor is of paramount importance when giving a speech. It is something you cannot do without. You must not go straight to the salient points. Just read some jokes about swine flu and try to implement them. I think "the economy flu" is a good thing to say.

Good luck.

I would start this way: '' Good afternoon people, lets start the discussion about swine flu by washing our hands''.
