It is generally accepted that families are not as close as they used to be.
Give some reasons why this change has happened and suggest how families could be brought
closer together.
Include any relevant examples from your experience.

Families are believed to not much closer as they would be in the past. There are many reasons of this fact, and it needs to be solved in order to make our family life a happier and productive life.

Firstly, family structure has been changed. In the past generation, families used to live jointly and some elder people are there to provide guidance to young ones and members of the family cooperate with each other in solving problems and issues. So, they have enough time to spend with family for some fun. But, nowadays people want to live in nuclear family which makes them to solve their problem by themselves and they cannot have a good time with family. I remember that my grandmother told me story, played with me and gave me sometime for my homework when my parents were on the work.

Secondly, due to economic conditions, most of the family members have to do job in order to meet both ends. We have become more materialistic and competitive, so to raise our standard of living is becoming more important than to enjoy with our kids and family members. We cannot do anything with global economic crisis we are facing, but we can limit our luxuries to get time for our family like our elder do.

Last but not the least, the invention of television and internet bound us at home to entertain and by which we are unable to live fully by sightseeing nature and physical workout. Theses can provide our family to come near and have fun together.

In conclusion, there are some issues that are not in our hand like changing world and financial crisis, but still we can get closer with families by introducing some changes to our lifestyle.

I remember that my grandmother told me stories , and played with me and gave me homework when my parents were on the work.

Last but not least, the invention of television and internet has bound us at home to find entertainment and so we are unable to live our lives fully by sight-seeing, enjoying nature and physical workouts. These can provide our family with a means to become nearer and in having fun together.
