Hi Aryam,
Religion is distorted because it is a fine and exquisite way to control sheep.
As for your religion, I was just curious.
With this post I do not oblige anyone.
Regards. |

1) Neither we should take the worst of both ;)
2) What worst does is that it elevates what is good.

Hit the nail on the head. You are right. The problem is if everybody reads it that way. Then we should delve too deeply into you brain.

I think religion is about thinking forward.
For non-believers, utopia exists now. Their whole existance is to get the most of what they can from this world. |
Reality is beyond belief or non-belief. We humans are reluctant to admit it as our knowledge is human centered. :) _________________ First lesson - English, not english. I, not i. ~A student of English |

If I say something, which appears as a judgement, doesn't in any way affects the reality. I am not that influential ;) _________________ First lesson - English, not english. I, not i. ~A student of English |

Hi friends :D , As for me, I was brought up as an atheist, but now I am convinced that God exists. There is enaugh evidence of that, just study yourselves carefully. And even more: we should search for Him and ask Him to cure our blindness if we want to find Him. Our world is much more complicated and miraculous than we use to imagine. I don't want to offend anybody with these words, but just to help you to understand the truth. Regards, Yuriy.
P.S. I'm an orthodox Christian. _________________ Help me to improve my English, please. You'll get better company then ;-) |

Hello Yuriy,
I wonder what were the causes behind this transition?
You words have an aura of happiness. : o) |

I am not an active church-goer, but I would describe myself as having a "Christian" outlook on life and the things around me, nor do I have a strong religious belief.
I've only ever made one other comment on this subject in this Forum, and that was to say that the Bible, and all religious texts were written by humans, and that every human, no matter how good his intentions, is bound to be biased towards his own interpretation in many ways. Therefore, many amendments had to have been made.
Do you really believe that there were no alterations or amendments made to the words that were written by the previous generation of scribes?
Do you think that the related pressures and opinions of "those days" did not play a great part in the writings put down as "the`truth"?
The only religious writing that has ever made a lasting impression on my spirit is the Ten Commandments.
I need no other to guide me through my life, and I accept these Commandments as the way to live a good and honest life.
If there really is a God, then he did not have these Commandments written to be ignored. Live by them and you will please your God, whatever name you give him.

Even if it is so, they are still worthy of thinking about them. _________________ Help me to improve my English, please. You'll get better company then ;-) |
