The sentence is "A large number of tourists were waiting in front of the ________ groung to see the soldiers"
A. parade B.procession C.demonstration D.rally

I am confused between A and B and do not know how to distinguish between them clearly.

The soldiers would be on a parade ground.There is a spelling mistake in the question.

A procession is similar, but nothing to do with the military.

A demonstration is a massing of people whose object is to protest about something.

A rally can be a collection of enthusiasts, for example a motor-cycle rally, or a car rally etc,.
