I went to a movie in the morning.
I went to a movie this morning.

Can someone please tell me what is the difference between the above two sentences?

Daemon, good to see you back again.

I went to a movie this morning. This is correct.

I went to a movie in the morning. You can't say this :-

In the morning means, tomorrow.

You could say," I'm going to a movie in the morning."( tomorrow morning) OR

" I went to a movie this morning."

Bill.
