TOEFL essay: What do you think about the job named 'receptionist'? #1 (permalink) Sat Jun 13, 2009 18:05 pm   TOEFL essay: What do you think about the job named 'receptionist'?

Receptionists are someone communicating with their guess at many work places such as restaurant, hotel, recreational area, etc. These people, in reality, take an important role in developing their company since they are whom their guess be impressed at first. However, this kind of job, in common with others, has its both advantages and disadvantages as follows.

At a view of advantage, receptionists working at the four or five star hotel and restaurant can easily get a good salary, which is due to the high requirements their companys have offered-well-qualification in both english and communication, to support their life’s demands. In addition, they can experience such new things that have never happened since they studied. For example, they can build up their skill in satifying their customers or how they organize their guess’s cheduel..Plus, It is inevitable that working in a professional enviroment will allow us to learn the efficent way to solve their company’s problems. Futher more, if you do your job well, your company will promote you at a higher position because it the fact that every thing must be built up from its foudation.

What is about disadvantages? I seemly think that working as a receptionist can not promote you efficiently, because the more higer position you get, the more pressure and qualification you will face. Besides, receptionist is a boring job as many people said that you have to stand all time and do the same work consistently, thus it is not worth being in your long-life stable job.

All things considered, I convincingly state that receptionists can prove themselve a lot, especially graduated students, from experiencing their problems. Therefore, I strongly think that people have to be a part of thel river in order to stream into the big ocean.

what do you think about the job named"receptionist"? #3 (permalink) Sat Jun 13, 2009 19:54 pm   what do you think about the job named"receptionist"?

Receptionists are the ones who communicate with the guests at many work places such as restaurants, hotels, and recreational areas, etc. These people, in reality, play an important role in developing their company since they are the ones who are first to greet the guests, and have to form a good impression of the business. However, this kind of job, in common with others, has both advantages and disadvantages as follows.

Advantages. Receptionists working at the four or five star hotels and restaurants can easily earn a good salary, which is due to the high requirements their companies place on having receptionists who are qualified in both English and other forms of communication, answering mail and telephones etc,.

In addition, they can experience many new things that have never experienced since having just finished their studies. For example, they can build up their skill in satisfying their customers or how they organize their guest’s schedules. Plus, it is inevitable that working in a professional environment will allow them to learn the efficient way to solve their company’s problems. Further more, if you do your job well, your company will promote you to a higher position because it is a fact that every thing must be built up from its foundation.

Disadvantages. I think that working as a receptionist cannot challenge you sufficiently, because the more higher position you get, the more pressure you will face, and the higher qualifications you will need. Besides, being a receptionist is a boring job as many people have said. You have to stand all the time and do the same work continually, thus it is not worth making it your long-life stable job.

All things considered, I state that receptionists can prove themselve's a lot, especially graduated students, from experiencing their problems. Therefore, I think that people have to be a part of the river in order to stream into the big ocean.

I cannot understand that italicised sentence.

DA, you have it all there. Your ideas are sound, you are just failing to lay them out in really understandable English. Keep at it though. This is improving every time.
Please note the many spelling mistakes and the alterations that I have made to improve it.
