Dear pals,

can you please help me out with an answer? Can I use wide here?

"I ask you not to mind my wide explanation. I just liked to clarify that issue."

Thanks in advance.

Hi Michael,

Good to hear from you again.

I think in your sentence I would use 'broad' (or even broad brush) to go with 'explanation.' And perhaps, while I'm on, I would say: 'I just wanted to clarify that issue'.

Best wishes,

Alan
