He has died. Sounds like a reference to a recent death.
He is dead. You can't say he was dead. (You can't come back to life.) _________________ Keep it simple ... Keep it interesting. |

Thanks for your reply.
I can understand He has died is happened recently.
But What about "He is dead". what does it mean.
Because he has died also represents that he cannot cum back to earth. So could you please explain? |

Hi,
As has been said 'he has died' indicates that this happened recently. 'He was dead' has to relate to a time in the past when he was no longer alive as in: He was dead when the police broke into his flat.

Hi Sorry to raise a question. Mr.Kitos told we should not say He was dead. we say "He is dead".
But you telling He was dead when the police broke into his flat.
Please clarify. |

Hi,
Clearly you can say: He is dead/He was dead/He had been dead/He has been dead/He will be dead. It depends on the time reference.
