is it okay to use the pronoune "her" to refer to a machine or vehicle? are you sure I won't be laughed at? :roll:

Example: He would get up early Sunday mornings, fire up the lawnmower, and let her rip.

It is quite normal to refer to a vehicle as a female (especilly to a vessel).
