Which is more approperiate to say?

*I'll visit Japan, no matter what it costs.
Or,
*I'll visist Japan, no matter how much it costs.

Hi EH,

In the first sentence the suggestion is that you will visit Japan and it doesn't matter whether it costs a lot of effort/time/money or not. In other words 'what' can cover all those things and more. In the second sentence the emphasis is on how much money it will cost.
