TOEFL® essay: Should we pay teacher base on how much student can learn

Students should be the central of a class. That’s the reason why we can evaluate the effectiveness of the class by how much students learn from that. But I don’t think that we should pay teachers base on what their students learn from them. Because it depends on a lot of factors like: students’ self-discipline, learning program and class’s facility
The knowledge you have is the result of a long-term and self-disciplined learning. Taking part in an expensive training course about a specific area with an excellent teacher does not guarantee that you will have expertise of that field after finishing that course. You have to attend the class regularly, pay attention during the lessons, spent time on reviewing the notes to get the knowledge delivered by the teacher. It is not always the teacher’s responsibility that you do not get the best result from the test
Sometimes you get a good teacher, you attend the class, but still you do not get what you expect from the course, it may because of an inappropriate learning program. The people who take charge in establish what and how much knowledge the students should learn may not do a good job. He/she may give a study plan that does not fulfill what you really need from the course. But your teacher has to follow that plan, that’s why the course does not run effectively even though he/she complete their task perfectly within his/her responsibility.
When you take a course that require a lot of practice, having good facility is crucial factor for the success of the course. For example in a biology class, if the laboratory does not have enough micro-scope then students do not have much chance to practice. Imagine how terrible it is when you study about bacteria but do not know their shape because you don’t have micro-scope to see it. Definitely you can’t take all the advantage of the course no matter what your teacher try his/her best.
There are a lot of factor that affect the result of a student in a training course. It is not fair if we blame the teacher, firstly we should consider the student’s diligence, the course program and facility. In my opinion, that would be a big mistake to pay teacher just only base on students’ acquirement
