Hi,

In this case you need make an appearance, which simply means appear.

Appearance means coming to be seen and can also mean what or who something/someone looks like.

Apparition
means something which appears very often in your imagination. It can for example describe a ghost like figure.

Hi,

In the test sentence you need to use a noun - 'make an appearance'. 'Appear is a verb'.

An apparition is a ghostly or ghost-like appearance of someone/something. The sun is actual.

Welcome to the forums, Erol70.

Do you mean this sort of phrase:
His mind is as sharp as it was when he was young.
Her dress is as blue as the sky.
The boy is as agile as a cat.
We use 'as...as' to compare one thing with another where we wish to indicate they are similar
(especially if the two things are not usually thought to be similar, such as:
the lawn was as springy as a trampoline).
