Cases.

Dative.
Nominative.
Accusative.
Genitive.

Dative: Mein Chef hat mir von den Expansionsplänen erzählt.
Nominative: VW ist ein dynamisches Unternehmen.
Accusative: Können Sie das Schiff am Horizont sehen?
Genitive: Die Angehörigen der Besatzung sind informiert worden.

Sure Bill. We can do it together. I can try to translate those sentences into English and you can correct me. Or we can do it the other way round. What do you reckon?

When people say that English comes from Germany it's very difficult for me to accept as true. They are so distinct languages. I'm not able to read and understand a sentence written in German. :wink:
