Some people say internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific examples to support your opinion.
Internet is one of the most important inventions of the last century. Also, it has become one of the crucial tools that we use on daily basis for communication, research and even for work.
Some believe that internet has facilitated the access to a lot of valuable information, from which internet users can benefit in a variety of ways. Others disagree saying that the availability of so much information within reach could result in serious problems. I believe that internet is a highly developed way to access data faster and easier. And the benefits from accessed information outweigh any caused problems .
First of all, Published data on internet have kept professionals up to date in their fields of expertise. For instance, Physicians are aware of the latest remedies and techniques of treatments, especially for serious illnesses such as cancer. Also internet has provided data about the most recent researches and the outcome results, This helped new researchers to start from where others has ended, which would save time, money.
Also, availability of information on internet had positive effects on people. It has increased awareness of people with respect to newly discovered endemic diseases, how they spread, prophylaxis and treatment. Also, facilitated connection between internet users around the world which helped in reuniting separated families. One more advantage is that it helped in reporting and capturing criminals who has fled to other countries.
On the other hand, the ease in accessing lots of info through internet could cause serious harm. For example, as information related to symptoms and how to diagnose diseases and even various treatments are within reach, some try to use this knowledge to play the role of a physician and try to cure their illnesses which can aggravate their conditions. Another example, some use internet to access other people personal data and cause them serious financial harm.Even some countries were able to spy on other countries that are considered as threat.
In conclusion,I believe that internet has to be credited for all its advantages, and not to be blamed for any caused problems. It’s only a tool and how individuals use it or the information it provides is a person’s responsibility.
