When should i take TOEFL , if am writing GRE by September second week or so

Am planning to write GRE by September 14th, so when should i take TOEFL? My aim is to join the course that is starting on next September(Sept 2010). Currently am doing my final year in ECE and have done some research project also done some research paper work in the field of VLSI, so what is my chance in getting addmision abroad,mainly US(Top Universities) and Singapore(NANYANG TECH.)? Then, sorry to ask!! If am preparing for the next two month to write GRE and TOEFL, will this give me a good score?
So am in a confused state! , paying this much for two exams and two months to study!! Please reply as soon as possible.
