Past expresses itself all the time and we say...it is me. #1 (permalink) Fri Jun 26, 2009 16:19 pm   Past expresses itself all the time and we say...it is me.

One of the most beautiful things - memory - is a gift that past gives us. I wonder why do we always speak in favor of the present then? Memories do deserve a lot more than what we think they should. We cannot get away from the present but we should not turn our back to the past. The past is just a moment behind the present and that should not be a reason to be unfair with it.

There is something to cheer about the past...always.

(a typical Friday evening made me get away from the present a little bit ;))

I think you're right. But anyway you cannot live your future without
leaving your past! You have to learn from your past, but not always
regretting things.
I know that's not what you're saying, but I just try to talk a bit too =]

At least someone is there, otherwise I was going to reply myself :) It is a bias if we subsume past in the regret.

Thank you so very much.

But anyway you cannot live your future without leaving your past!

And how would you proceed forward without the experience and knowledge gained from your past?

One can also learn from their regrets.

Yes, but only if you are open to learn!
Because you cannot learn if you are always
thinking about the past, and what you should
have done and how life could be if you did that ..

:) I have to agree with you Danii, but please allow me to add that life has an awful lot to teach you. :) Good luck.

The whole intent I had in mind was to bring up the good things about the past. It is but natural for we humans to think about the regret... the moment we utter the word 'past'.

:)

Then the secret is Gray, never do anything that you might later regret, but then, would that really be living?

Yes, that is so true and logical. There is no way we could determine that something this instant is regrettable for the next :)

Hello,

I believe that we should not dwell on our failures.
Regrets are of a huge importance. They say that experience is the other name people give to their mistakes.

But we should contemplate and should not fear to contemplate :)
