Phrase: Where is my notebook? I remember I put it on the desk. #1 (permalink) Mon Jun 29, 2009 12:53 pm   Phrase: Where is my notebook? I remember I put it on the desk.

Hi everybody,
can you help me and check these sentences below? Are they correct?

1. I haven't had dinner today, but I had a good breakfast and not hungry.

2. Why did not he visit us? - I'm afraid he is ill. - No, I've seen him the other day and I don't think that something has happened to him.

3. Where is my notebook? I remember I put it on the desk.

4. Do they have a piano in apartment? - I didn't notice any piano there.

5. Do you know how many operas Mozart wrote?

6. Sorry I have offended you that night. It's forgotten.

Thanks.
Vishnya

Hi Vishnya,
2.Why didn't he OR Why did he not ...?/I saw him the other day(=a few days ago)
3.Either I remember I .... Or I remember putting it ...
5.Both "write" and "compose" are right.
6.When we mention the exact time,we must use the simple past:
I lost my keys yesterday. (vs.) I have lost my keys. So,I offended you ...is better.

Morteza
