Chinese and Japanese foods are very similar. I think the main difference is the size of the vegetable pieces. In Chinese food, the vegetables are bigger than in Japanese food. _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

hi Chinese food comes from china and japanese food comes from japan. But seriously, Chinese foods may include roast duck, roast pork, fried rice, dim sum(steamed dumplings), and stir frys. I heard somewhere that the poorer communities of china cook their foods with steam(water) and the richer communities could afford to use fats and oils for frying.
Japan is a smaller country and relies more on foods from the sea. The japanese like to simplify things in art and in cooking and eat a lot of things raw or lightly cooked. Sushi started in china, but was popularized by japan before coming to western countries. Besides the greater amount of seafood eaten, many of the same things as china are eaten such as rice and noodles. |
