| It should be the first one because in the second it should be "late for" and the third "late is an adj" , you can't use "have" |

Hi Rosario,
You could also say: 'because I'm late for the office.'

Thanks to Alan and Azhdar,
Sorry Azhdar, I prefer to the Tung a and Alan answers that should be “ late for”. |

Could any one explain: Why you can use "I am not having breakfast" in this sentence please? Cos I thought you must say "This morning I didnt have breakfast because I was late for/to the office"
Thank you very much

| Hi, everybody! I think the second sentence is correct, the present continuous in first part is to express the future action, and the cause of this action is that I am late now. |

Hi Be Emily,
Somebody is getting ready to go office and that time he/she can say, 'this morning I am not having/taking breakfast because I am late for office. So this is presnt continuous from.
You are also correct, I did not have/take breakfast this morning because I was late for office. This is simple past form.
Thanks,

1. This morning I’m not having breakfast because I have hurry-up to the office. 1. This morning I’m not going to take breakfast because I must rush-up to the office. 2. This morning I’m not having breakfast because it is already late to go to the office. 3. It is late to (go to) the office |
