Usage of rental: This rental agreement is made and executed on this day... #1 (permalink) Thu Jul 02, 2009 8:49 am   Usage of rental: This rental agreement is made and executed on this day...

Hi everybody,

1.This rental agreement is made and executed on this day 1st day of July 2009
by and between Mr. Ramu, New street, Madurai, herein after referred as the
lessor, and Mr. Mohan, Big Street, Madurai, herein after referred as the lessee.
In the above sentence, should it be 'rental agreement' or 'rent agreement'?
Should we use 'by and between' or only 'by' or only 'between'?
Are there any more mistakes in that sentence?

Please enlighten me.
Thanks,

Good morning Hanifasmm, 'rental agreement' or 'rent agreement'?

Rental agreement could apply to things other than a property, whist "rent agreement" would, I'm sure, be used in reference to a property of sorts; flat, house, apartment.

Surely " between" is the only word required.

I wouldn't say that they were errors. Just someone being ultra-cautious.

Kitos.
