Hi,

For just two weeks a year I become a sports fan and after that I just lose interest. But for these two weeks (and we're right in the middle of it now) I am a man obsessed.

Alan

Hi SkiIucK,

Tennis is the sport. A mini newsletter will shortly be sent out on that topic.

Thanks for your interest.

Single-combat sports like tennis and boxing are cool in that there's no finger-pointing: if the athlete loses, he can only blame himself. Well... sometimes the ref is blamed, but that's ubiquitous in competitive sports.

I think Murray will do it eventually though. I think he's better than Henman was and Federer won't play forever.

Henman was a decent player who was unlucky to play during the reign of Sampras and Agassi, both of whom were excellent on grass.

I bet he'll go on to win several majors, including a couple on Centre Court.

Take heart, Alan, cat-gut redemption is on its way to the Sceptred Isle.

I don't think he will do that in the near future. I think there is some sort of voodoo on the English. :D English tennis players don't win at Wimbledon and English horses don't win at Royal Ascot. :?

: o)

PS: Roddick lost the final today. Hard luck!

I feel much better now. and keep walking

I like fitness including pilates, trecking, stretching, dancing classes. I like it now, but a year ago I couldn't even think of it. It's necessary to start and go on for some time. As soon as you see at least tiny results you will feel hard to stop. Even my husband who is a mathematician very far from real world and never practicing any sport, in a year of training feels comfortable, very often looking in the mirrrow, enjoying his reflection and his ability to do things.

I heard that US scientists think that one can't lose more than 2 kilos just doing exercises. They are sure that you have to limit your diet to lose your weight.

Hello, I want to know if the sentence " After that who know ?' is correct. Who know, or who knows ? I think the right form would be " Who knows". I am looking forward for the answer, thank you.

Hello, there is something I don't understand about the conjugation of this sentences. I always misused them. I would like you to correct me.
(A) 1. Have you eat already? 2. Have you eaten already?

(B) 1. What have you do? 2. What have you done?

Thank you !
