Hello,

I would like to know what is wrong with these sentences:

1. There is always a heavy traffic in the city centre

2. After lunch we went to shopping

This one should be without "to": After lunch we went shopping.

As far as I know "traffic" is an uncountable noun. So it should be "There is always heavy traffic in the city centre".
