Does grad(ing) encourage students to study? In my opinion grad(ing) do(es) not encourage them to study, especially in elementary schools. I would prefer no grading at all. Low grades usually make pupils feel ashamed and that results in passive behaviour and thinking lowly of themselves. And diametrically, those who always get good grades become arrogant and start look down on the rest of (the)students. They start (to) divide into groups of "smart" and "stupid" students. Because of that, "not- so - smart" students don't bel(ie)ve in their potentials and wouldn't take wide strides in their lives.
Of course we should mark and thank students for what they have done. In this case verbal thanks (would be sufficient.)
In a nutshell grading does more damage than (good) to a child('s) (confidence.) _________________ If you need me, I'm here. |

Hi Kitosdad,
I've written one more eassay please do correct it. Thanks
Does grade encourage student to study?
I feel grades encourage students to study. Especially in elementary level children will not know to look down upon each other. Now a days children are matured enough to help each other when they are together. Teachers should also take part by encouraging low graded students by helping them personally to take part is all the activities or talk to their parents. They can also make good & low grade student sit together and help each other.
Children are depressed when their parents are not with them / help them in their studies. This leads them to get low grade. As per me all children are brilliant due certain circumstances they become arrogant, dull etc.
In some student case they cant withstanding other children getting good grade than them, so this makes them to study better and try to get a good grade. But in other student cases parents would come forward to help their children.
Thanks, Hema |

You'll improve the more you write and think in English. It is an obstacle that most non-native speakers encounter whilst writing.

Hi Hema, I'm not sure that you can do this. You are already registered in that name on the Forum. Perhaps if you were to re-register, but again, I'm not sure that you can do this either. If you were to get someone else to register, then you could use that account,
