Hi everybody!

So, I did this test and had a score 7/10. Those 3 that were not correct are problems. I don't understand what my answer is not the correct one. Please help me

1. That programme is so boring that it's like watching paint dry.

Correct answer: (c) dry

Your answer was: incorrect
your sentence:
That programme is so boring that it's like watching paint dries.

- as far as I know paint is 3rd singular? why dry?

2.I honestly think that the time has come when we should celebrate our success.

Correct answer: (a) has

Your answer was: incorrect
your sentence:
I honestly think that the time will come when we should celebrate our success.

-why not will? why has?

Thank you very much :)

1-- as far as I know paint is 3rd singular? why dry?-- Because it is not a finite verb. The finite verb is 'watch'; 'dry' is an infinitive. 'Paint' is a direct object.

2-- 'Will' is grammatically possible, but unusual semantically. The test writer should revise the answer set.

Non-finite verbs do not change with the person.
