TOEFL® essay: Advertising can tell you a lot about a country?

this is my first toefl essay and hope you can help me prepare IBT in a right way:

Since Industrury Revolution, advertisement has become one of most popular sights all over the world. We can easily find them on newspapers、magazines、 television programms and some other mediums.These advertisements convey lots of information about products,business activities and entertainments activities,just name a few.Through these advertisments,we can learn a lot about a country.

First of all,we are able to know the pop culture about a country by see all kinds of literature and art advertisements.Take concerts advertisements for exemple, we can see it clear that which type of music is hot at this point in the country just by classifying and analyzing the advertisments from fashion versions.

Advertisements not only tell us the pop culture,but also lead us to understant the spirit of a country,for there are also many public service advertisement,or social advertisement and they reflect directly the spirit of a country.A famous instance is the Hope Project advertisment,it calls people give more attentions to the children who are living in poor and remote area and cannot afford to basic education.From that we can naturely conclude that love is one of core spirits of China.Another example happened just one year ago,after China 512 Earthquake,numerous advertisments parying for the deaths and fundraiseing for poor lives appeared on almost all the mediums and everyone try his best to support the people in the disaster area, mentally and financially.

Advertisment even tell us something about the struture of the state and the politics ideal.Though I have never been in America,I have learned much about American politics ideal and rules owing to presidential race advertisment.Surfing on Web site in America,I have come across lots of presidential race advertisments which explain what is their politics plans and dreams,how to improve citizen rights and how to balance powers.etc.

To conclude, we can safely say advertisment tell us a lot about a country,for it contains so much information ranging from popular culture to politics field that certainly reflects a country ,to some degree.
