Is it correct? Should I say "The store is mine, it was inherited from my uncle" ?

Yes.

Alternately, 'The store is mine, I inherited it from my uncle.'

Hi dear,
My language is Persian; we have these sorts of problems in our language, too. When we want to translate Persian to English or the other way around, we will encounter the drastic clash. For example in my language which is head last, we say: "In maqaze male man ast, az amuyam be ers borde am"… in literal translation we have no alternative to say: "The store is mine, it was inherited from my uncle"! In fact using passive voice in my language is quite often but this sentence I mean using passive voice in this case in English is wrong. "The store is mine, I inherited (it) from my uncle" as Kitsodad said primarily is the best alternative.

Wish you all the best with a lot of fun and learning.
