TOEFL essay: Because people are too busy doing many things, they can do few thing #1 (permalink) Wed Jul 08, 2009 2:42 am   TOEFL essay: Because people are too busy doing many things, they can do few thing

Hello. This is Zya. I am trying to work on my TOEFL essay...But i still couldn't get the point and kinda frustrated. Here is my first essay of agreeing/disagreeing type. Hope to get some suggestions and corrections from some advisors here. Thanks so much and appreciated your time.

Topic: Because people are too busy doing many things, they can do few things well.

Whether people are too busy to do things well, different people may have their opinions depends on their backgrounds. Personally, I do not think people can do few things well just because they are too hectic. I think people can do better because they can rely on the help of advanced technology and come up with more effective ways to consult numerous tasks.

To begin with, technology plays an important role to enable people to work more efficiently. Take computer for examples. People can rely on computer to calculate complex figures and analyze complicated data bases just need a couple minutes or only several hours. But in the past, integrating data may take people few days or even several weeks by hand calculating and it may occur lots of errors need to examine repeatedly. So with the help of computer and other advanced technology, even people are very busy, they still can do things well and more efficiently.

In addition, learning how to manage time also can help people do things well and finish tasks in time. Nowadays, most of us are busy every day. Smart and intellective people always can make their ways to success no matter how busy they are and how much time they have. Take my brother David for example. David has to prepare the TOEFL test and he also has a part time job in week days. Besides, he has to do exercises and spends some time with family on weekends. But with a reasonable and practical schedule, he spend two hours studying before going to work and review other studying when he getting off from work. Besides, he also spend thirty minutes doing exercise before going to bed and go out with family twice a month on weekends. So with a good management of time, it is possible to let everything under the control and do things well.

To sum up, while some people may think that people are too busy to do things well, I think differ. As long as people can control their time well, learn to arrange their schedule in an efficient way and take the advantage of the modern technology, everyone can do things well and achieve their goals.

This is my opinion:
I think that, nowadays, people have a tendency to strengthen in term of their good major. This will lead to the better promotion for their career than knowing broadly but not specically.
