Some was speaking in terms of where they would never want to be again, that being a certain age due to the way of thinking that came along with that age.

I said stop being so agnostic, because they said that they could never go back to that way of thinking. While as I was saying that they could, just that they did not want to.

I would like to know if I should have used either agnostic or antagonistic.

Neither.

agnostic - someone who believes that people cannot know whether God exists or not [↪ atheist]
antagonistic - unfriendly; wanting to argue or disagree

The word you are looking for is stubborn (and its synonyms: obstinate,
adamant, bullheaded, firm, headstrong, inflexible, mulish, opinionated, pigheaded, rigid, set in one's ways, single-minded, stiff-necked, unreasonable, willful, etc.)
