Any advice from you-grammatical or otherwise- regarding my advice? #1 (permalink) Sun Jul 12, 2009 6:14 am   Any advice from you-grammatical or otherwise- regarding my advice?

Hi dear ones!

Any advice from you-grammatical or otherwise- regarding my advice? :)

About seven year ago, an Argentinean 'online' friend of mine wrote to me complaining of his very slow Compaq computer, asking for my advice. I sent him the following lines which include my "invaluable" pieces of advice: :)

If Only You Take Advice

If your Compaq is so slow
With a hammer (click) it a blow
Or take it where waves flow
And with no (copy) give it a throw

Or take it to the highest tower
In London or Paris - whatever
To throw it with zeal an’ power
And live in peace of mind forever

Your time you should not waste
In hotmail or copy and paste
Toast it in fire, hurry with haste
With onion and tomato paste

Or take it secretly away
This very night without delay
And put it on a railway
To (search the results) next day

Thank me not for my advice
And the genius of my device
What I order as a price
Only asado (1) with some rice

-------------------------------------------------------
(1) Asado: Toasted meat- an Argentinean favourite dish.

If your Compaq is 'way too slow,
Just take a rock, give it a blow
Or take it where the waters flow,
And with great zest give it a throw.

Or take it to the highest tow'r
In London, Paris or where'er,
And throw it off with zeal and pow'r
So you'll have peace of mind fore'er.

Your time you should not, would not waste
In hotmail, copy, click and paste
Set it aflame, and go with haste,
With onions, cheese, tomato paste.

Or take it secretly away
This very night without delay,
And place it on the right of way,
Then search for the results next day.

Thank me not for my advice,
The genius of my own device.
I only ask of you as price:
Algun asado, poco rice.

Thank you Micawber.

Your modifications are ok, but they came at the expense of rhythem, meter and other poetical considerations. :-)
