Hello there,

I'd like to know what "might as well" means.I hear it very often and I try to figure it out,but I am still not sure.Does it mean like straight or right away?Thanks for your answers.

Hi Dolly,

If you say to someone: You might as well do that what you mean is that you think it is a good idea to do that because there is no harm/problem in doing it. Imagine a situation when someone asks you: When I go into town this morning, shall I get the new holiday brochures? If you think that's a good idea and you want to read the brochures, you could answer: Yes, you might as well.
