Would you please tell me the difference between the two sentences and the ones like this?

- In my room,I feel as if I'm being watched.
- In my room, I feel that I'm being watched.

I don't see any substantial difference. Perhaps the second is more paranoid.

I think there is a difference. In the first sentence, that he is being watched is less probable (apart from 'feel' which means that it is a matter of feeling and not a fact, 'as if' denotes likelihood; "that" denotes certitude).
