It is important to work at a job that you enjoy than it is to earn a lot of money #1 (permalink) Sat Jul 18, 2009 1:55 am   It is important to work at a job that you enjoy than it is to earn a lot of money

Hi, I am new to this forum. Can you please go through my essay and point out mistakes?

Today, when we read about scientists, how many of them are rich? Yet, they are successful, because they dedicated their lives in their field of interestKeeping this in mind, I completely agree with the statement that its always better to work for a job that gives us pleasure and enjoyment in life, rather than working for money.
One should work in a field that he enjoys and loves doing it. Money is a part of life, its not the soul of life . For example, a dentist in US earns a lot of money, but what if he doesn’t like to examine a patient's mouth? He has to do it on a daily basis but he doesn’t enjoy looking at oral diseases like cancer and halitosis every morning he enters his office. Whats the point in working with such a field. On the other hand, an artist who loves painting. He can wander in the woods capturing beautiful nature on canvas. Its true, that may not earn him a big bank balance, but in life, satisfaction is of utmost importance.
Another example is a software developer, who can earn a lot of money by working with big companies. He doesn’t have any problem with his work, but what if his team members are not co-operative? What if the boss is always interfering? He would not enjoy his work in that atmosphere. At the end of the day, he goes home with all these problems in mind, which may disturb his family life even.
A tutor may be earning more, but she may not be happy as she has to teach the same routine everyday. She feels bored of that job. On the contrary, if she loves gardening, she can work as a gardener. She will be glad to be in midst of a variety of plants and fragrance of beautiful flowers.
In a nutshell, I would like to say that money can buy everything but it cannot buy peace of mind, satisfaction and immense pleasure of achieving something. If you want to be successful and lead a happy life, follow your heart, your passion and not money.

One should work in a field that (they) enjoy and love doing. Money is a part of life(but) it(')s not the soul of life .
For example, a dentist in (the) US earns a lot of money, but what if he doesn’t like to examine a patient's mouth? He has to do it on a daily basis but he doesn’t enjoy looking at oral diseases like cancer and halitosis every morning he enters his office.
What(')s the point in working (in) such a field(?)
On the other hand, (take/imagine) an artist who loves painting. He can wander in the woods capturing (the beauties of) nature on canvas.
Its true, that may not earn him a big bank balance, but in life, satisfaction is of (the) utmost importance.

Another example is a software developer, who can earn a lot of money by working with big companies. He doesn’t have any problem with his work, but what if his team members are not co-operative? What if the boss is always interfering?
He would not enjoy his work in that atmosphere.
At the end of the day, he goes home with all (of) these problems in (his) mind, which may disturb his family(-)life even.

A tutor may be earning more, but she may not be happy as she has to teach the same routine everyday. She feels bored (in) that job.
On the contrary, if she loves gardening, she can work as a gardener.
She will be glad to be in (the)midst of a variety of plants and (surrounded with the )fragrance of beautiful flowers.

In a nut(-)shell, I would like to say that money can buy everything, but it cannot buy peace of mind, satisfaction and (the) immense pleasure of achieving something (which we feel is so very essential in our lives).
If you want to be successful and lead a happy life, follow your heart, your passion and not money.

Hi Kitos,

Kindly reveiw by essay and also need you suggestions - Thanks Hema

In my point of view everybody go to work to build up their careers, explore their talents and to earn and then is the enjoyment. People who are serious in their career growth will work hard to achieve their goal.

There are people who work for entertainment, but they will not be serious in there work as they might be having other source as income.

Always working will be boring, make us tired and weak and by the end of the day we will lose our energy, so we need to take break in between in order to gain our energy. Working for the whole day we feel exhausted and may not be able to spend time with our families after going back home. Taking break in between may feel relaxed and also makes us enthusiastic to complete our task.

Money & Entertainment are part & parcel of our lives. We have to balance both equally and we should first be happy, trustworthy and feel our working environment as our home then we’ll definitely have happy days and will be satisfied at work.

We should feel our selves happy and also make people feel happy around us. Otherwise we will be called nerd and people may not be interest to get along with us.

Working with co-worker we will improve our communication skill, team player and we will learn lot more thing by shares our thoughts.

It is important to work at a job that you enjoy than it is to earn a lot of m #4 (permalink) Thu Jul 23, 2009 12:51 pm   It is important to work at a job that you enjoy than it is to earn a lot of m

In my (opinion) everybody go(es) to work to build up their careers, explore their talents and to earn and (hopefully for their) enjoyment. People who are serious (about) their career growth will work hard to achieve their goal(s).

There are people who work for entertainment, but they will not be serious in the(ir) work as they might (have) other source(s) (of) income.

(Endlessly) working will be boring. (It will) make us tired and weak, and by the end of the day we will lose our energy, so we need to take break in between in order to (re)gain our energy.

Working for the whole day (makes us) feel exhausted and (we) may not be able to spend time with our families after going back home.
Taking (a) break in between (allows us to) feel relaxed and also makes us enthusiastic to complete our task.

Money & entertainment are part & parcel of our lives. We have to balance both equally, and we should first be happy, (comfortable) and (have the) feel(ing) (that) our working environment (is) our home.
(T)hen we’ll definitely have happy days and will be satisfied at work.

We should feel ourselves happy and also make people around us feel happy too. Otherwise we will be called (a) nerd, and people may not be interest(ed in) get(ting) along with us.

Working with (a) co-worker will improve our communication(al) skill(s), (help us to become a) team player, and we will learn lot more thing(s) by shar(ing) our thoughts.

Again Hema, a nice little essay. Well thought out.
I can't see anyone calling you a nerd. You sound too intelligent and happy.
