What is important for speaking? Either grammar rules or fluency? #1 (permalink) Sun Jul 19, 2009 8:13 am   What is important for speaking? Either grammar rules or fluency?

Hi Torsten,
I have a question. When I speak English, sometimes I forget the grammar rules because of fluency. What is important to me for speaking? Either grammar rules or fluency? I feel shy when I mistake the grammar rules for the fluency. So, please tell me the correct way to learn spoken English.
Regards,
Parveen.

Hi,
Thanks both of you Tomasito & Honey for your advice. I think that I should speak carefully to keep attention on the grammer rules. Listening is the best way to improve speaking skill. Everyday I listen any mini story, topic etc. about one hour & repeat it myself. In this way I have been improving my listening & speaking skills day by day. But I have a problem that I become nervous when I talk English. My sister helps me to avoid this nervousness.
Regards,
Parveen.

Hello Parveen,
Speaking with people who do not understand your mother tongue helps a lot.

And I guess you meant 'grammar' and not 'grammer', right?
