Meaning of insights: I would like to share my insights on the main characteristic #1 (permalink) Sun Jul 19, 2009 13:32 pm   Meaning of insights: I would like to share my insights on the main characteristic

Hello everyone

I'd like to ask about the meaning of "insights" in the following context:

A human being has a character. Some people are very active. Some people are very quiet. Some people are very humorous. Some people are very serious. A soul has its own character. From my personal experience, I would like to share my insights on the main characteristics of the soul:

Is it correct to say that in this context the word 'insights' means the same as 'thoughts'?

Yes, you are 100% correct. As a synonym that would work great. Insight really adds shade or color, depth to thought. Insight leaves the listener with the feeling or thought that special or "secret" information is being shared. That's why book copywriters always use the phrase Insights into for books and article headlines
