Here are some sentences.
1.Two days later,he took me to the factory.I imagined everyone to be friends working together and having fun.I guess I had wathced too many movies as a teenager.

My questiong is:Is 'guess' right in tense? Or should we changed it to a past form 'gessed'?

2.---I didn't know you take a bus to school.
---Oh, I hardly take a bus,but it is snowing today.

Are these sentences right in tense?

3.---Can I help you?
---I bought this watch here yesterday, but it doesn't work.

Can we say "...but it didn't work" or "...but it wouldn't work'?

I feel that except for 'I guess I had watched too many movies as a teenager.' all other sentences are ok.
This one may be changed to 'I guess I have watched too many movies as a teenager.' A film seen or a book read and such other activities have a permanent effect on the doer. So they are written in present perfect. best of luck, nanucbe.
