Unnamed 2 (His teachers, too, had a lot of faith in him. And as expected, he...) #1 (permalink) Tue Jul 21, 2009 17:09 pm   Unnamed 2 (His teachers, too, had a lot of faith in him. And as expected, he...)

...His teachers, too, had a lot of faith in him. And as expected, he scored very well in the final exam. And the day arrived when he had to left all this behind and move to the nearby city for further studies. All what he wanted in the end was to return to his native. With eyes filled with both ...tears and dreams, he set off for the journey. Each passing moment was dragging him back to his home. But the whole new world was awaiting for him.

With a slight fear and much curiosity, he was entering his class and almost collided with a smiling, blue coloured eyes. In the blink of an eye a loud voice emerged from behind, "Good morning students!" and followed by the echo -- "Good morning teacher", and he found himself seated on the last bench. That loud voice continued for a while, talking about the history of the institution. It was all new to him, he was not used to listening speeches in English before. All he could do was to catch few words and relate them with the context and observe other faces and mimic them to pretend that he understands.

All went well until the students were told to introduce themselves. He was not at all prepared for this. As others were speaking fluently with no fear and had a lot to talk about themselves, he was trying to pay attention to their introductions so that he could collect something for himself to talk. At his turn, he put himself together and uttered something he felt was correct but then few tittering faces made him end his speech in despair....

(I could relate this part with his introduction, don't giggle please Wink)

Unnamed (1) He - a clever, thoughtful, shy and still a kiddish boy was living...

Unnamed 3 (He was reluctant to concede that he was never good at expressing.....)

Everything that has a beginning, has an end.
But there seems no end when it comes to capitalizing letters or is there?

"Those were happy days of his life. So happy that he never realized as they were passing by. Playing with friends for the whole weekend, climbing trees and eating fruits, swimming in the nearby river, trekking mountains, wandering through forests, enjoying the rain and many more things were a part of his dreamlike world."- this reminds me the book "Jungle boy" Smile

Regards,

~Phoebe

P.S. You haven't named your "hero" yet Wink

'My' hero?
Why do you think that he is an hero?
And what he could do with a name?

The story is yet to end.

Good morning Gray. Excuse me my friend, but I am becoming confused with this story, as there appears to be two threads overlapping, or am I really confused? Smile Smile

Perhaps you were referring this --

She just wanted the main character to have a name Smile

By the way, I now realize that though writing stories is difficult,
it is interesting too... much more interesting than what I had thought before.

"much more interesting than what I had thought before"

And that is where the real beauty lies. You can make the story whatever way you wish.
Happy, sad, true, lie, there s no end to it. You can even write the same story twice with different endings.

Entertain yourself and others, whilst improving both your English and your thinking.
